Nordic FP&A Forum

A member-driven network for FP&A professionals — compare best practice on the annual wheel, strategic finance, and performance management, share AI use cases and adoption across the FP&A process, and discuss FP&A leadership: how to influence and make an impact. No membership fee.

ANNUAL WHEEL
Budget Forecast Actuals & reporting Strategic finance AI in FP&A
Why this exists

Most FP&A networks cost 20–30,000 kr a year to join. This one doesn't cost anything.

Nordic FP&A Forum starts from a simple idea: the best answer to an FP&A problem usually comes from someone who has already solved it — not from a conference ticket. So instead of a paid membership, this begins as a group of people who want to spar with each other, trade approaches and templates, and get sharper together on forecasting, budgeting, and performance management.

Nordic FP&A Forum is started by passionate FP&A professionals with an eagerness to improve and learn — holding experience across sectors including healthcare, med-tech, FMCG, manufacturing, insurance, and banking.

Who this is for

Different company sizes, same questions

Start-ups & scale-ups

Adopt best practice from day one

Building the finance function as you grow? Skip the trial-and-error. Get inspired by how established FP&A teams run budgeting, forecasting, and reporting — and take home what fits your stage.

Mid-sized companies

Professionalize an established setup

The basics are in place, but you want more: sharper processes, better tooling, a real annual wheel. Spar with peers who have made the same journey from good enough to genuinely strong.

Large companies

Fresh inspiration to improve processes

Big organizations can get set in their ways. Hear how smaller, faster teams solve the same problems — and bring back ideas that challenge how things have always been done.

Who can join

This is a peer network built on trust and give-and-take, so there are a few things we look for:

  • Nordic-based — you work in Denmark or the wider Nordics.
  • In a leadership role — a management position within FP&A, Business Finance, or Business Partnering, or a CFO.
  • Curious and eager to learn — you want to get better at the craft, not just keep up.
  • Ready to share — you bring your own ideas and experience to the table, not just take from it.
  • Discreet — real numbers and honest lessons get shared here, so what's discussed in the room stays in the room.
A core theme

AI is changing FP&A — let's figure out how, together

Every FP&A team is being asked the same question right now: what should we do with AI? Vendors have plenty of answers. Peers who have actually tried it have better ones. This is a recurring theme of the forum — honest experiences, working examples, and the failures nobody puts on LinkedIn.

Reporting & commentary

Using AI to draft variance commentary, board pack narratives, and monthly reporting — and how much human review it really needs.

Forecasting & analysis

Where AI-assisted forecasting and scenario analysis adds real accuracy or speed, and where a well-built driver model still wins.

Automating the manual work

Data preparation, consolidation checks, mapping, and reconciliations — the unglamorous work where AI and automation free up the most hours.

Getting started in practice

Tools, guardrails, data confidentiality, and how to get an AI initiative approved and adopted — not just piloted and forgotten.

What works, what doesn't, straight from people who tried it.

What we'll dig into

What every FP&A team wrestles with

01

Best practice sharing

How other teams structure reporting, close, and analysis — and what they'd change.

02

The annual wheel

Sequencing budget, forecast, and board cycles without burning out Q4.

03

Strategic finance

Moving FP&A from reporting the past to shaping decisions.

04

AI adoption in FP&A

From commentary generation to forecast support — hands-on experience, not hype.

05

Forecasting

Methods, cadence, and how to keep a rolling forecast credible.

06

Budgeting

Building a budget process people trust — and one that doesn't consume the whole autumn.

07

Performance management

Turning targets, KPIs, and reviews into something that actually drives the business.

08

Leadership in FP&A

Leading a finance team, influencing decisions, and making an impact beyond the numbers.

09

Business partnering with the C-suite

Earning a seat at the table — turning finance into a trusted advisor the CEO and board actually lean on.
